Instituto Zuzu Angel receives a donation of a Pastoral collection dress created by the designer in the 1970s during a visit to the Fragments of Zuzu Exhibition.

On the afternoon of Thursday, July 4th, we received a visit from fashion historian Elizabeth Kutesko (PhD Courtauld Institute of Art). She leads the MA in Fashion Communication: Critical Fashion Studies and the BA in Fashion Communication: History and Theory of Fashion at Central Saint Martin in London. She is the author of Fashioning Brazil: Globalization and the Representation of Brazilian Dress in National Geographic (Bloomsbury, 2018) and is currently working on a new book Fashion and the Devil's Railroad: Dress, Temporality, and Modernities in the Brazilian Amazon (Bloomsbury, forthcoming). She was welcomed by the president of the Zuzu Angel Institute and by curators Sofia Girard and Simone Costa who presented the exhibition Fragments of Zuzu, the documentary collection and textile collection, as well as a tour of the house.

This Thursday, July 25, Rosa Magalhães died in her apartment in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro.
