Clothes history:
According to Hildegard Angel (February 2017 statement), this dress is part of the series of long patterned organza dresses, happy and flowered, with frou-frous or hemmed with lace from the North, which were died in the organza tone. All organzas are from the Werner Factory from Pertópolis and the patterns are exclusive Zuzu Angel designs, patented by Hildegard Angel. There is a photo album where several of them are portrayed in beautiful pictures. This dress was donated to IZA by Miriam de Andrade, who was then married to Evandro Carlos de Andrade, a journalist and editor of “O Globo” newspaper. This series was very representative of a new phase, since there were many elegant women from Brazilian society, such as Edith Pinheiro Guimarães, Helô Amado and Ionita Guinle had clothes from this period – which dates back to 1972/3.
