Clothes history: The dress is part of the International Dateline Collection III, which is considered to be a milestone on the designer’s path, since it was the first time a fashion show presented itself as a political protest. The show was held at the home of Lauro Sotello Alves, Brazil’s chief-consul in New York in 1971. According to Hildegard Angel (January 2017 statement) “Flock of swallows” is the pattern’s name, one of the few to which Zuzu Angel gave a title. Exclusive pattern created by Zuzu Angel, patented by Zuzu Angel.
